Something you are still reaching for, even when you are not sure what to call it.
You know this feeling.
A lighthouse doesn't end the uncertainty of the future.
It doesn't clear the path, calm the water, or promise you safe passage.
It shines through the fog illuminating your path just enough to navigate. It's a beacon of hope.
It's always there. Steadily. Quietly. Without needing you to acknowledge it.
It was shining before you arrived, and it will keep shining long after you need it.
That is the only thing hope has ever been.
Not certainty.
Not proof.
