REVERENCE
This is where the journey arrives.
You made it. Through all of it. And you arrived.
Here.
At the edge of the wild world, watching creatures exist in full and breathtaking aliveness, in a way they have always existed.
The otter floating on its back on open water, unhurried, unworried, present in a way most humans only glimpse on their best days.
The whale descending into the deep, sovereign and unhurried.
The eagle not flinching into the wind but opening wider.
Each one breathtaking in its power.
Each one fragile in ways it will never know.
Each one so precisely, irreplaceably itself that looking away feels like a loss.
And none of them are truly alone.
Even in solitude, they are part of something vast and ancient and unbroken. A web of life so interconnected that every creature, seen or unseen, holds a place within it.
Just as you do.
You started this journey looking for quiet. You found it in the desert.
You went looking for strength. The trees held it for you.
You moved through power and peace, through hope and eternity, through surrender and acceptance and the deep belonging of finally arriving somewhere that felt like home.
You saw love that predates you.
And now you are here.
Standing at the edge.
Watching something wild and sovereign and alive.
And you are grateful.
Quietly, fiercely, completely grateful.
Not for having it all figured out.
For having stopped.
For having looked.
For having let it matter.
For letting new perspective make you even better than when you arrived.
That is the whole journey.
That is the only thing perspective was ever pointing toward.
This is Reverence.
This is where it ends.
And this is where, if you are willing, it begins again.
