You know the chaos swirling around you each day? Sometimes, you just need a photograph of the natural world to interrupt the daily noise for a moment. Even if its a short one.

Five years ago, before the world changed in 2020, I felt the distance growing between myself and nature. I noticed others around me, too, lost in the noise of life, unable to reach the calm and inspiration waiting just outside.

Finding time for nature feels impossible some days. If you love the wild but live among city lights, you know the pull of quiet green (or blue) spaces. Even when life is smooth, that deep peace can feel slightly out of reach.

During that summer of 2020, I stood along the ocean’s edge with nowhere to go, letting the waves sweep over my thoughts. For the first time in years, my mind grew quiet. I wanted to keep that feeling close, so I began photographing the ocean, forests, and mountains that had given me that peace.
