Golden Embrace: A Dance of Light and Leaves in Duck Creek
I'm Jamie, a passionate nature photographer who transforms fleeting moments into enduring pieces of art. From a young age, I dreamt of two things: the thrill of exploring unseen corners of our planet and the joy of being a professional artist. Yet, time and circumstances often stood between me and my dreams.
Despite being tied to my routine, the desire to capture the world's beauty never dimmed. If anything, my challenges only fueled my determination. You see, it's not just about taking a photo; it's about the journey, the stories behind each click of the shutter. And I never let setbacks get me down; my resilience always guided me forward.
One of my most recent expeditions took me to the Dixie National Forest. I was on a quest, a mission if you will, to seize the ephemeral beauty of trees undergoing the magical transformation of fall. Living in the desert, you can imagine the challenges: not only pinpointing the exact timing of nature's grand show but also finding the right location. On more than one occasion, my searches yielded barren trees devoid of those fiery hues I so desperately sought. It felt like a puzzle with a piece forever missing.
The weight of another potential missed opportunity bore heavy on my heart, but fate had another plan. My extended family, who were vacationing nearby, came to the rescue, guiding me to a spot they believed would satisfy my yearning. The next day, my husband and I set off with hope and anticipation.
Pulling off the highway, a walk along Duck Creek hinted at the beauty that lay beyond. A hint of yellow in the distance pulled me forward, and as I rounded a bend, my breath caught. An endless canvas of golden-yellow aspen leaves, stark white trunks, and the verdant carpet of grass stretched before me. The sunlight pirouetted gracefully through the leaves, casting the perfect light. With a sense of urgency and adrenaline, I took the shot, without even setting up my tripod, worried the sun would change its dance.
The resulting image exceeded my wildest expectations. A meadow framed by nature's finest golden hues – it was the epitome of autumn's embrace. Whenever I find myself amidst such splendor, serenity envelops me, reminding me of why I began this journey in the first place. It's an honor to capture such moments and convey not just the visual spectacle, but the emotions that ripple through me. Each piece I create isn't just a photograph; it's a fragment of my heart and soul, shared with you.

The motivation behind my photography has always been to display the Earth’s beauty. Earth is so valuable and fragile; it is our responsibility as humans to take care of it. To me, there is nothing more important than doing our part to give back to this beautiful planet we live on called Earth. Therefore, I use my photos to help promote conservation and sustainability.
One way I that I do this is by donating a percentage of the proceeds from every product sold to the non-profit organization listed below.
As of today, proceeds from sales of my Fine Art Photography will generate donations with the following structure:
- 10% of net revenue See Life Inspiration earns from online sales channels will be donated to The Ocean Clean-Up to help remove plastic from the ocean.
- One tree is planted for every work of art printed through our premium printing partner, Pictorem.
- Additional contributions made to the National Forest Foundation to plant trees.
